Inquiry into allegations of antisemitism
Over the past week the Executive Board of Leiden University has become aware of allegations of antisemitism at Leiden Law School.
The allegations have caused much concern at Leiden Law School and the University as a whole. The Executive Board takes these allegations seriously because, if proven correct, they are in clear contravention of the values that Leiden University stands for. The Board will therefore launch an inquiry into the validity of these allegations.
The Board will appoint an external committee to conduct an inquiry into this and the manner in which it has been dealt with within Leiden Law School.
The inquiry will begin as soon as possible. The Executive Board may decide that the findings of the inquiry give cause for a further investigation.
Pending the results of the inquiry, all those involved will refrain from comment.
