Honorable Mention for PhD Candidate Sam de Schutter
Sam de Schutter (Phd Candidate at the Institute for History) received an Honorable Mention by the Disability History Association.
His article ' A Global Approach to Local Problems? How to Write a Longer, Deeper and Wider History of the International Year of Disabled Persons in Kenya' which appeared in the journal Diplomatica in 2019 received the Honorable Mention for the Outstanding Journal Article/Book Chapter Award.
Earlier this year his article received the Mattingly prize awarded by Brill for the best article published in the journal Diplomatica in 2019.
