EU lessons for East-Africa? Armin Cuyvers lectures for University of Nairobi on Regional Integration
On 6 June, Armin Cuyvers lectured students and staff of the University of Nairobi on EU law and comparative regional integration
In a spirited online debate, participants discussed potential lessons from EU integration, ranging from institutional design to Brexit and COVID-19, for the East-African context. The lecture forms part of an ongoing collaboration between the University of Nairobi Law School and the Europa Institute of Leiden Law school, and was attended by staff and students from the Regional Integration Class from both the Nairobi and Mombasa campuses of UoN.
Armin Cuyvers is an associate professor of EU law at the Europa Institute of Leiden Law School and director of CompaRe, the Jean Monet Centre of Excellence on Comparative Regional Integration.
