Summer School in Languages and Linguistics is now open.
The Leiden Summerschool in Languages and Linguistics, including courses in Papyrology, is now open. BA/MA/PhD students are welcome to attend.
The Papyrology programme includes a double course 'Reading Greek Papyri', taught by Cisca Hoogendijk and Joanne Stolk, aimed at giving students a working knowledge of ancient Greek handwriting on papyrus and some insight into the editorial practice of papyrology. As part of the course, students will get the opportunity to study one or more original papyri from the papyrus collection of the Leiden Papyrological Institute.
Further there are courses 'Introduction to Papyrology (1200 BCE-800 CE)' and 'The Language of Law in the Ancient Mediterranean’, taught by various specialists of Leiden University.
