Stephanie Rap receives KNAW Young Career Award
On Tuesday 4 February, Stephanie Rap, lecturer in children’s rights, was presented with the KNAW Early Career Award 2019. She receives the award for her research into international children’s rights.
The award was announced at the end of last year. In her research Rap combines various research methods in order to analyse and understand what international children’s rights actually entail, and in particular the right to participate in legal proceedings.
With the KNAW Early Career Award, the KNAW aims to support young, talented researchers after receiving their doctorate. The award is intended for researchers capable of developing innovative and original research ideas and who are in the early stages of their career.
As a result of the award, Rap will receive a grant of 15,000 euros, to be used for her research career.
