Armin Cuyvers invited to lecture in Japan on Brexit and EU integration
From 28 October to 2 November, Armin Cuyvers was invited by the University of Nagasaki to lecture on EU integration and Brexit.
His visit formed the first step in establishing a closer working relationship between the Europa Instituut of Leiden Law School and the Nagasaki University School of Global Humanities and Social Sciences, a recently established multi-disciplinary research institution. As a further step, academics from both universities are now planning a joint conference in 2020, inter alia to further explore joint research and teaching. This collaboration follows the increasing focus on the EU in Japan, both triggered and exemplified by the new EU-Japan economic partnership agreement.
