Joris Larik speaks at World Meeting of Societies for International Law
Last week, Dr. Joris Larik, Assistant Professor of Comparative, EU and International Law at Leiden University College and convener of the International Justice major, gave a presentation at the Second World Meeting of Societies for International Law at the Peace Palace in The Hague.
International Economic Cooperation
The conference, which was conducted in both French and English, was organised by the French Society of International Law. Speakers included President of the International Court of Justice Yusuf and Vice-President Xue, the UN Under-Secretary-General and Legal Counsel de Serpa Soares, CJEU judge Malenovský, President of the European Court of Human Rights Sicilianos, President of the Institut de Droit Nico Schrijver, and Sir Christopher Greenwood QC. Dr. Larik took part in the panel on “International Economic Cooperation”, to which he had been invited by the Canadian Council on International Law, to address the EU’s trade policy, Brexit, and the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement between the EU and Canada (CETA).
