10th Anniversary Summer School on Interest Group Politics
The ECPR summer school on Interest Group Politics is celebrating its 10th anniversary. To celebrate this especial edition, this year’s summer school includes many renowned researchers and professors from around the world. In addition, as a part of the celebration, we are organizing an exceptional one-day conference with practitioners.
The conference, named “Lobbying and Political Advocacy: Building Bridges between Practice and Academia”, is a unique initiative that aims to bring together, for the very first time, prominent scholars, practitioners (i.e., public affairs representatives of various Dutch organizations), and highly motivated (PhD or advanced master) students to discuss the state-of-the-art and the challenges of the discipline.
The program of the summer school and the conference will address crucial questions in the study of policy-making and political advocacy, such as how interest organizations mobilize to foster policy change in a complex and multilayered political environment and how political advocacy by a myriad of interest organizations affects the governance of global challenges.
The 10th edition will be held at Leiden University (Campus The Hague) and is organized together with the University of Amsterdam and University of Antwerp.
