Mariana Gkliati delivered a speech on refugee protection in Scotland
Mariana Gkliati was invited by the Lawyers Without Borders Student Division of Aberdeen University to participate in their Annual Human Rights Conference dedicated to refugee protection.
The topic of the conference, which took place on 11 March in Aberdeen, Scotland, was “Refugee Protection: Are refugees afforded sufficient protection under human rights law?”.
Sharing a panel with Caroline Nalule (Oxford), John Campbell (SOAS), Sarah Craig (Glasgow), Mariana delivered a speech entitled “The refugee as a human, as a border crosser, as a survivor of trafficking. The different identities of the refugee before the ECHR”.
