Happietaria: take a bite out of human trafficking
Pop-up restaurant Happietaria has opened its doors in Leiden once again. Come and tuck in for charity between 4 February and 2 March. Students from Christian associations in Leiden will be preparing a delicious menu, and the proceeds will go to a charity that fights human trafficking in Southeast Asia.
Happietaria Leiden was officially opened on 4 February by Gert-Jan Segers, the parliamentary chairman of the Christian Union Party. This year the pop-up restaurant can be found in Het Gebouw in the Leiden-Noord district. It is run by volunteers, all of whom are students from the different Christian associations in Leiden. From Monday to Saturday they will be cooking great food, and the proceeds will go towards the fight against human trafficking in Southeast Asia.
Everyone is welcome at Happietaria Leiden: students, staff and not forgetting the residents of Leiden. Come along and tuck in for charity, and take a bite out of human trafficking at the same time!
