Final conference INFORM project in Sofia, Bulgaria
On March 7th 2019, eLaw (the Center for Law and Digital Technologies of Leiden University) will participate at the INFORM Final Conference 'Data Protection Summit: Beyond being INFORMed' at the Hilton Hotel in Sofia, Bulgaria.
The INFORM final conference aims at raising awareness on the current reform in the field of data protection and promoting practical information with regards to the effective application on the EU legislation in this area. The program of the final conference can be found here. Registration is free.
This conference is the final event of the INFORM project, a projected funded by the European Commission, in which the new EU data protection legal framework was further introduced to the judicial system. During the project, conferences and workshops were organised both for the general public and for the judiciary, legal practitioners and court staff. On behalf of elaw, dr. Bart Custers and mr. Georgios Stathis cooperated with 9 European partners on this project. The project also resulted in an extensive e-learning programme on EU data protection law, which can be found on the INFORM website.
