Leiden starts exchange with Poland

Leiden University has started a collaboration with the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Poland. The project includes the exchange of students and staff, joint research, and the organisation of seminars and conferences. Besides Leiden, the universities of Copenhagen, Newcastle and Innsbruck are also involved.

Old acquaintance

The universities involved want to strengthen the mutual cooperation through this project, which is called InterAPS. The project was set up by the Polish Agata Karska, who obtained a PhD at Leiden University in 2014 in the group of Kavli Prize winner Ewine van Dishoeck. After her PhD research, she left for Nicolaus Copernicus University, where she was appointed on a permanent basis.

Deadline first call is approaching

Leiden participates in the fields of astronomy, chemistry, computer science and psychology. Students, PhD students and other employees in these fields are eligible for an exchange. The deadline for the first call is 1 February. Three more calls will follow.
