Data Science Seminar for Fairness and Transparency
Data Science seminar at the Faculty of Governance and Global Affairs
The next location of the 'traveling' Data Science seminar is at The Hague! Facing important socio-cultural issues of the 21st century like climate change, terrorism and economic crises, requires a substantial and in-depth scientific knowledge. But this knowledge alone is often not enough. At the Faculty of Governance and Global Affairs these themes are studied through a combined perspective of public administration, political science, law, sociology and economics. This interdisciplinary approach gives the Faculty’s research and teaching its cross-border character, such as at the Governance and Data Science Research Group.
But what is the position of Data Science? In a series of short presentations a number of different perspectives will be provided by the speakers below, of which the PhD candidates are also part of the Data Science Research Programme.
The afternoon will be closed with drinks and snacks at the Brasserie/café at the Wijnhaven building. The seminar is open to everyone, so bring your colleagues!
Details and programme can be found on the website.
