Mariana Gkliati co-authors paper on Frontex accountability
Mariana Gkliati recently published a paper on the accountability of the European Border and Coast Guard Agency, co-authored with Herbert Rosenfeldt.
This paper looks into the increased capacities, tasks, and competences of the agency, brought about by the 2016 legislative reform, and examines whether this development was accompanied by an accountability regime of equal strength.
The paper assesses the political, administrative, professional and social accountability of Frontex, as well as its legal accountability.
The paper was published at the Refugee Law Initiative’s Working Paper Series and is available here.
