Nadine Akkerman nominated for VIVA's inspiring women list
Nadine Akkerman, University Lecturer and researcher at the LUCAS institute, is nominated for a VIVA400 award in the category 'inspiring women in science'. The Dutch magazine, VIVA, selects 400 inspiring women who excel in their field every year for different categories.
“Nadine uses unusual sources, like letters in secret codes and un-send post, to bring women in English history and literature alive. For her research, she received several grants and awards. Nadine's latest book about 17th Century British female spies was published by the Oxford University Press and sold out within a day. At the moment, she is discussing the rights for a film adaption.”
