David Fontijn appointed as affiliated member German Archaeological Institute
The German Archaeological Institute is a world leading research institute, which conducts and facilitates research in the archaeological sciences and classical studies. Professor David Fontijn was appointed for his work on the European Bronze Age.
Fruitful cooperation
Back in 2009, Fontijn worked as a senior Research Fellow in the Eurasia Department of the German Archaeological Institute (DAI) in Berlin.
Aside from this, the Faculty of Archaeology has previously signed a memorandum of understanding with the DAI department named Roemisch-Germanische Kommission, which focuses on the archaeology of Europe. The appointment of David Fontijn further extends the fruitful cooperation between the DAI and our Faculty.
