Throw a party for science communication
Although both government and the public would like scientists to share their work with the widest possible audience, this does not always seem an easy route for scientists.
LEAPS student Sofia Sarperia conducted a study under the supervision of Pedro Russo and Julia Cramer, in which they investigated the motivations and barriers of scientists to reach out.
This work has now been published in ‘het Nederlands Tijdschift voor Natuurkunde’ (2018-4) and can be requested by the authors. In the same issue, Julia Cramer wrote a matching blog about her personal experience.
