Opening of the 'Bob Wessels Collection'
Friday 26 January 2018 saw the festive opening of the Bob Wessels Insolvency Law Collection. This Collection is a most valuable addition to the present prestigious collection on (international) insolvency and commercial law and will be expanded and kept up-to-date in the coming years.
The Bob Wessels Collection has been presented on permanent loan by the Bob Wessels Insolvency Law Collection Foundation to the University Libraries Leiden (UBL) and will be located on the mezzanine of the Law Library.
The well-attended opening took place in and around the Law Library of the Kamerlingh Onnes Building. Professor Joanne van der Leun, Dean of the Law School, and Professor Matthias Haentjens, Chairman of the Bob Wessels Insolvency Law Collection Foundation, officially opened the Collection. Other speeches were held by Emeritus Professor Bob Wessels himself and Professor Reinout Vriesendorp, the successor of his chair. Participants included many past and present Dutch and international students and colleagues of Bob Wessels, and also Kurt De Belder, UBL Director.
