Melanie Fink and Jorrit Rijpma discuss questions of accountability with Frontex
On 19 and 20 February 2018, Melanie Fink and Jorrit Rijpma were invited to discuss questions of fundamental rights accountability at the Frontex headquarters in Warsaw.
The visit to Warsaw formed part of an advice prepared and presented by Melanie Fink and Jorrit Rijpma in the second half of 2017. The advice concerned questions of responsibility under EU and international law in relation to the activities of the agency. It was commissioned by the Frontex Consultative Forum on fundamental rights.
The Frontex Consultative Forum commissioned a second advice to be prepared and presented in 2018, covering in particular the legal challenges arising from Frontex’ cooperation with third states.
