Studio Leon Thier
Studio Leon Thier Architectuur/Interieur is the architectural firm behind the interior of Wijnhaven at Campus The Hague, where encounters are the core concept. A characteristic feature in the interior is the application of bamboo for walls, window frames and custom-made furniture. A variety of loose furniture ensures colour and orientation within the overall design and creates a good atmosphere. For more information, see the website of Studio Leon Thier Architectuur/Interieur.
Architectural award the 'New Berlage flag'
For many years The Hague lacked an architectural award. The 40th anniversary in April 2017 was for HaAC and BNA in The Hague a reason to announce a new award. With an architectural award, the organizations wish to promote the positive impact of architecture on the living environment and stimulate the discussion on this subject.
The quality of the submitted projects is a.o. judged by their architecture, spatial quality, detailing and the relation with the direct living environment. All projects from interior or rooftop structure to skyscraper or square and from new constructions to transformation or renovation qualify for the ‘New Berlage Flag’. The winner of the Hague Architecture Award ‘New Berlage Flag’ will be announced on Tuesday 20 February 2018. You can read more about the ‘New Berlage Flag’ here.
