Meeting LERU Law Deans at Leiden Law School
On 9 and 10 November 2017 the thematic group of LERU Law Deans met at Leiden Law School to discuss developments in the field and collaborations between the partner universities. The meeting was organised jointly with Utrecht Law School.
The participants talked about the ongoing and successful PhD exchange programme and made further plans to expand it to other categories of staff members. A collaborative note on research quality assessment was discussed, which will be finalised at the next meeting in Barcelona. Other themes were: honours programmes, digitalisation of examinations and grading, internationalisation and opportunities and challenges of Open Science for research conducted at law schools. Ideas and practices were exchanged in an open atmosphere and the participants also visited the Bibliotheca Thysiana. Upcoming meetings will be held in Barcelona and Lund.
The steering group chaired by Bernard Tilleman (Leuven) now has three new members: Mia Rönnmar (Lund), Mar Campins (Barcelona) & Joanne van der Leun (Leiden).
