Garth Dales appointed Kloosterman Professor
Garth Dales from Lancaster University has been appointed Kloosterman Professor at the Mathematical Institute during the month of October 2017, as a guest of Marcel de Jeu.
His research interests include Banach algebras, abstract harmonic analysis, and fundamental mathematics. He will deliver the Kloosterman lecture "Algebras of continuous functions and set theory'' on 12 October 16:00-17:00 in room 174 of the Snellius building. See here for the abstract.
