Discover the right master's for you
Are you exploring the options for a master's programme? If so, come to our Master's Day on 10 March. You can visit the presentations by the different programmes and ask all your questions of the lecturers, students, alumni and study advisers. And you can also get to know the best student cities in the Netherlands: Leiden and The Hague.
A master's programme gives you the opportunity to focus your studies on a specific domain and to broaden your outlook. Leiden University offers 78 master's and a total of 122 master's specialisations. What's the right master's for you? Come to the Master's Day on 10 March and find out!
Specialisations
The Master's Day in November 2016 was very busy. One of the visitors was Jihane, a bachelor's student of Public Administration. 'I'm not sure yet which specialisation I will choose, but in any event I know it'll be something in Public Administration. I want to find out what programme will be the best match for me. I want to learn as much as I can and it has to be challenging!'
Bridging year
The previous Master's Day attracted a lot of students from outside Leiden, including Daniël. He was studying Social Pedagogical Support at Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (Hogeschool van Amsterdam), but he wanted to transfer to an academic university. 'At the moment, I'm tending towards Psychology or Education and Child Studies. I want to find out more about the bridging programme you can follow to transfer from an applied sciences programme to a university.'
The Hague
Leiden also has a location in The Hague. Our Hague master's programmes are taught in the newly renovated Wijnhaven building. Janneke came to the last Master's Day to find out about the master's in Crisis and Security Management. ‘I'm not sure which master's it will be. I've had a quick look at the website, but I wanted to come here today with a completely open mind.'
