Almost twenty new MOOCs have started
Nineteen new Leiden University MOOCs have started this January. Anyone can take part in these online courses varying from combatting terrorism to kidney transplantation.
The Massive Open Online Courses can be found on the Coursera site, an online study platform. Every MOOC is made up of different modules in which lecturers from Leiden convey the teaching material by means of video lectures and learning assignments. There is also the option of online interaction with lecturers and fellow students. If you pass all the assignments, you can apply for a certificate.
Leiden University offers a range of MOOCs in different fields. Some MOOCs focus on the working methods of the international tribunes located in The Hague; others cover such topics as linguistics, mindfulness and combatting terrorism. One of the new MOOCs is about the role of music in society.
