On Thursday 24 November 2016 you can listen to the second Leiden PM concert of this season in the Lokhorstkerk. The musicians are students of Leiden University following a minor at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. Students who have a passion for both art and science.
The Practicum Musicae concert on November 24 will be a special concert, with no less than two singers, two ensembles and two solo pianists. Pianist Friederike Pank will open the concert with a Nocturne by Chopin, after which she will perform parts from Klughardt's Schilflieder with Emiel Beinema (horn) and Maud Busschers (oboe).
Martijn Strating will perform three Mazurkas from Szymanowski on the piano and mezzo-soprano Anna Vlot and Friederike Pank will perform Johny from the Caberet songs by Britten. Annemieke Lezwijn (vocals), Joshua Beckker (piano) and Peter Rohrbach (drums) will conclude the performance with three cool jazz standards.
Be enchanted by these young musicians and come to the Practicum Musicae concert in the Lokhorstkerk!
