Ekaterina Pannebakker new lecturer Private International Law
Ekaterina Pannebakker has joined the section Private International Law as lecturer in September 2016. Ekaterina graduated in French law and Russian law (2004 and 2009, private law) and obtained a postgraduate LL.M. at Erasmus University Rotterdam (2011).
After obtaining her first law degree, Ekaterina worked for five years as lawyer in a French consulting company and as legal counsel at Danone Dairy in Russia and subsequently at the Headquarter of Danone Baby and Medical Nutrition in the Netherlands. From September 2011 until August 2016 she worked as doctoral researcher at Erasmus University in Rotterdam, where she will defend her thesis on ‘letter of intent in international contracting’ in December 2016. During her doctoral trajectory, Ekaterina was a visiting scholar at the University of Cambridge (UK) and at the UNIDROIT – International Institute for the Unification of Private law (Italy) holding a scholarship from the UK Foundation for International Uniform Law.
Ekaterina is the secretary of the international think tank Groupe de Travail Contrats Internationaux (GTCI). Besides her mother tongue Russian, she is fluent in Dutch, English and French.
