Prof. Ton Liefaard member of Council for the Administration of Criminal Justice and Protection of Juveniles
Prof. Ton Liefaard has been appointed as member of the Council for the Administration of Criminal Justice and Protection of Juveniles.
The Council is an independent body established by law, which gives advice to the Minister and the State Secretary of Security and Justice and the State Secretary for Health, Welfare and Sport, in the areas of the prison system, the forensic care system and youth protection. In addition, it administers justice as the appeals committee taking binding decisions regarding individuals serving a prison sentence or custodial measure: prisoners, offenders under a hospital order and juveniles in young offenders’ institutions and secure youth care centres.
