Marieke Slootman wins NSV Dissertation Prize 2015
Anthropologist Marieke Slootman received the NSV Dissertation Prize 2015 for her dissertation on ethnic identification among Moroccan and Turkish Dutch.
Her dissertation 'Soulmates. Reinvention of ethnic identification among higher educated second generation Maroccan and Turkish Dutch' was praised by the Dutch sociologists association NSV as the best dissertation in the years 2013-2014. On Thursday 26 November she reveived the award from jury chairman Ton Bevers at the Actualiteitencollege, the yearly conference of the NSV on science, policy and current developments.
