Laura Groen attends STeLA forum
Laura Groen, MSc student at LACDR’s division of medicinal chemistry, has been elected to attend the Science and Technology Leadership Assocation (STeLA) forum.
This is a leadership program for young talent from all over the globe and will be hosted this year by the Beijing Institute of Technology, Tsinghua University and Peking University in China. Forty students (10 each from China, Japan, USA and Europe) have been selected in a rigorous assessment to attend the program. Laura is the only one student from the Netherlands.
The 2015 forum will focus on the challenges that arise as a result of the rapid development of computers and robotics in daily life in the pursuit of better scientific methods, faster computers and the need for intelligent agents. Discussions will be facilitated by lectures from renowned speakers, pertinent case studies and site visits to leading corporations. Participants such as Laura will contribute their knowledge and curiosity towards a deeper appreciation of global problems.
