Connecting Bioscience & Informatics
On June 26, 2014, LIACS organizes an event where you can learn more about LIACS research on Bioscientific data processing and modelling, as well as Bioinformatics support by the BioIT team.
Life science and health research nowadays deals with large amounts of data, requiring tools and expertise to manage, analyse and interpret the data. This event brings together biologists, computer scientists, bioinformaticians and programmers, to share expertise and collaborate in dealing with the big data challenges. Presentations will be given on bioinformatics topics such as biomedical image and genomics analyses, revealing of course the informatics tools and tricks to find hidden patterns and correlations in biological data, and providing answers to appealing research questions.
When: 26 June 2014, 15 - 18u, including drinks.
Where: Snellius building, Niels Bohrweg 1, Leiden.
