TEDx Leiden University
On the 29th of April, Leiden University’s first ever TEDx event took place! This one-day event was organized by a team of passionate (former) International Studies students from different backgrounds, in collaboration with many students and professors from other programs as well.
The theme of the event was Building Bridges, which was translated in a unique way by each of the seven speakers, leaving the attendees feeling inspired and with new perspectives. From political to scientific, each of the talks included personal experiences from the speakers and provided new insights into inclusiveness, establishing connections and strengthening them, individually and as a community.
Apart from the astonishing TEDx Talks, there were also networking opportunities for the attendees and the speakers to get to know each other, including an amazing lunch and socializing event hosted by Minglemush.
Team TEDxLeidenUniversity is proud to say that the 100 attendees had a very positive experience, and that the livestream was viewed over 1500 times. Thanks to the everyone who contributed to the event, from sponsors to speakers, volunteers and the attendees, the event was a great success and the team is already looking forward to hosting TEDxLeidenUniversity 2019.
