Nominees must be students of the BA International Studies. Selected candidates will be invited for an interview with Dr. Jaap Kamphuis and Dr. Joost Augusteijn (the staff members of the Programme Board).

What does being a student member in the Programme Board entail?
Student members bring up and discuss important issues from the student’s perspective. Also, they can be asked for advice, for example on changes in the curriculum or questions from the Education Committee.

In addition to monthly Programme Board meetings, there are also a joint meetings with the Board of Examiners (± 4 times per year). Furthermore, you may be asked to join other meetings. This year, for example, the Programme Board student members will meet the review committee and last year the student members met with Prof. Mark Rutgers (dean of the faculty of Humanities).

The current student representatives, Jitske Louise Veenhoven and Mimi Hu, are appointed until 30 September 2019. Their successor(s) will be appointed at 1 October 2019.
