Abstract
In America, Christianity and Nationalism are deeply entangled with each other – and with race. White Christian Nationalism has long been one of the most powerful currents within American political culture; it still is. In this lecture, Yale sociologist Philip Gorski analyzes White Christian Nationalism, its links to Donald Trump’s Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement, how they might be changing, and what this portends for the future of American democracy.
