Michiel Luining discusses the defeat of the Hungarian government on Dutch Radio 1
Michiel Luining is a Lecturer at the Institute of Public Administration and is especially interested in Eastern and Central Europe.
Orbán Fidesz, the Hungarian prime minister, and his political party have been invincible in both national and local elections since 2006. During the local elections on 13 October, however, the opposition managed to win the majority vote in the large cities. Michiel Luining discussed what this loss meant for Prime Minister Orban during the broadcast on 14 October.
