Helena U. Vrabec's paper featured in Forbes
The paper "Does the GDPR Enhance Consumers’ Control over Personal Data? An Analysis from a Behavioural Perspective" which our researcher dr. Helena U. Vrabec co-authored with dr. Iris van Ooijen from Twente University was recently featured in Forbes. In the paper, the authors conclude that GDPR's legal instruments seem to have made a step towards more individual control, but some threats to individual control remain entrenched.
Forbes' journalist Alexian Chiavegato drew on the insights from the paper when stating that "'cognitive processing and decision-making pitfalls' are the flaws that make the personalizations of GDPR less effective than intended."
