Attention for autism in girls
Autism spectrum disorders are more often diagnosed in boys than in girls. For Developmental Psychology professor Carolien Rieffe this raises the question whether autism remains undiscovered in girls and women.
Carolien Rieffe's research received interest from various media in the national "autism week" (April 1st - April 8th). In an interview for de Kennis van Nu en Radio 1 she discussed results suggesting that autism is less conspicuous in girls, because they often have better insight into various social rules.
