New editions of the Journal of Sonic Studies
How can we understand the impact and importance of sound?
Two new issues of the Journal of Sonic Studies, co-founded by ACPA staff member Marcel Cobussen, have been published.
JSS 10 contains a selection of essays presented during the second ESSA conference (European Sound Studies Association) in Copenhagen in 2014. JSS 11, Recomposing the City: New Directions in Urban Sound Art, is a special issue on the relation between urban environments and sound (art).
The primary aim of the Journal of Sonic Studies (JSS), founded in 2011, is understanding the impact and importance of sound, both on an individual and a general cultural level.
