Maria Vasile defends her Ph.D. dissertation

On Wednesday, September 6th, 2023, Maria Vasile has successfully defended her Ph.D. dissertation on ‘Morality, welfare reconfiguration and precarious labour in Collective Food Procurement in Turin’. The first of the Food Citizens? Ph.D. candidates thus graduates, congratulations!
Dr. Vasile responded to all members of the examining committee, questioning her on the methodology, theoretical premises and insights of her research: Jessica Duncan (Wageningen University), Marja Spierenburg (Leiden University), Carlo Capello (University of Turin), Anouk De Koning (Leiden University), Bart Barendregt (University of Leiden), and Peter Pels (University of Leiden). Co-promotor Erik Bähre delivered the eulogy.
