Get a taste of International Studies

Are you interested in global development and phenomena? Do you want to discover the underlying reasons and contexts? Do you simply want to understand the world better? Are you ready to go deeper in specific region and acquire unique language skills? Then the bachelor’s in International Studies could be the right choice for you.

Globalisation is shaping the world in which we live. The International Studies programme will provide you with the tools to study regional topics, developments and phenomena from a humanities perspective and put them in a global context. You will acquire in-depth knowledge of one of eight world regions and learn one of the key languages.

Programme:

12:00 – 12:30 Arrival and Registration

12:30 – 13:30 Lecture International studies

A lecture delivered by Prof.dr. Sarah Wolff, to experience what a lecture in the program can look like. To get the most out of your experience, read the assigned homework beforehand. You will receive it closer to date.

13:30 – 13:45 Break

Opportunity to chat with current students and ask your questions to student ambassadors over a coffee.

13:45 – 14:45 Tutorials

During a tutorial, you get to discuss and go deeper on topic of the lecture with a tutorial lecturer. To experience what a tutorial is like at International Studies.

Parents’/Guardians’ programme:

12:30 – 13:30 Information session

13:45 – 14:45 Parents City Tour

For whom is this event?

  • Students from the last year of pre-university education (vwo) who may have already attended an Open Day, or  were unable to attend and/or wish to further explore the bachelor's programme in International Studies.
  • Students who are not yet fully certain about their study choice or are still undecided between programmes and want to make a decision.
