Did you attend an Open Day or Experience Day, and are you wondering what being a student is actually like at LUC? Do you have some burning questions for our current students? Then, this event is just for you! By joining LUC as a Student for a Day, you will accompany one of our current students to one of their classes and get to experience LUC as a true student.

What is Student for a Day?

Student for a Day is the perfect opportunity for you to experience what it is like in our small-scale and interactive classes. Join a student in one of their classes and get the opportunity to hang out with them and ask them about their experiences firsthand.

Please note: The main emphasis of this experience lies in immersing yourself in an LUC class. You will actively participate in a real-time class alongside students and teachers. This event isn't designed to provide additional information about our program like you would get during an open day; instead, its purpose is to offer you a firsthand sense of the LUC classroom environment.

Who can join?

The Student for a Day event is intended for students in their last years of high school (6th and 5th year of the Dutch VWO programme; IB 1 or 2, or a similar level within other educational systems). You are welcome if you have already submitted an application to LUC, and also if you have not. We recommend attending another event, such as an open day or webinar beforehand, or otherwise reading our website so you know what the programme is all about before joining.

How does it work?

You can be a Student For a Day three times a year during blocks 2, 3, and 4. Block 2 typically starts after the fall break (early November), block 3 starts in early February, and block 4 begins in early April.

You can join any class listed on our registration page for the entire duration of the block. Keep in mind that, as these are real-time classes, the content of later classes will build upon the material covered in previous ones, potentially making them more challenging to follow if you join later in the block.

Each session lasts for two hours, and a designated student will be assigned to meet with you and accompany you to the class. The student will meet you before the class in the lobby of LUC. The contact details of the student will be shared with you beforehand.

Please note: Availablity for February until April will be published by the end of January.
