The Leiden University Centre Theoretical Philosophy is pleased to announce a lecture by Dr. Luca Incurvati, Associate Professor in the Department of Philosophy and the Institute for Logic, Language and Computation, University of Amsterdam.

Abstract
Inferential expressivism (Incurvati and Schlöder 2024) is an approach to meaning which combines elements of the expressivist and inferentialist programmes in the theory of meaning. In this talk, I will first give a brief overview of the basic ingredients of inferential expressivism. I will then present some work in progress on applications of inferential expressivism to deontic modality and, if time permits, to metaphysical modality.
