We are excited to have Andrea Rentmeister from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München visit us for the LED3 Lecture. Prof. Rentmeister’s lab focuses on RNA at the interface of chemistry and biochemistry and aims to understand and ultimately control the processes affecting mRNA expression and turnover.
To address these fundamental questions, her lab takes a chemical perspective and develop chemical and chemo-enzymatic tools for manipulation, analysis, and control of mRNA at the molecular level. She further strives to implement chemical modifications in living human cells and push the limits further to applications in vivo.
