The Centre of Political Philosophy is pleased to announce a lecture by Daan Evers, assistant professor at the Faculty of Philosophy, Groningen University.

Abstract
Most aestheticians think that beauty has an objective phenomenology and that we treat judgements of beauty as if they concern objective facts. If they are right, then there is a presumptive argument for realism about beauty: the view that there are objective facts about what is beautiful and ugly. I will argue that the data do not support a presumptive argument for realism about beauty.
