This event will be held on the 1st of April from 13.30-16.30  and on the 14th of April from 10.00-13.00. The event on the 1st of April is only open to students from the Latin American Studies BA & (R)MA programmes, and will be held in Lipsius (Leiden), studio K031. The event on the 14th of April is open to all and will be held at Leiden University College (The Hague), Anna van Buerenplein, Room 304.

Dancer and choreographer Paula Chaves will give a workshop titled Other Forms of Embodying Knowledge at Leiden University. Inspired by philosophical concepts from Maria Lugones, Glora Anzaldúa, Fred Moten, and Stefano Harney the workshop is an immersive and experiential opportunity to unravel the potency of the body as source of knowledge.

This event is part of a series of encounters organised by the interdisciplinary project BOCA – Building Other forms of Communicating the Academy. Everyone is welcome to attend! About the preformer:

Pau(la) Chaves Bonilla aka La ChicaScratch is a choreographer, performance artist and queer grassroots organiser born and raised in Colombia and based in The Netherlands, co-founder of the Papaya Kuir collective led by Latinx trans and queer migrants/refugees.
