Leticia Micheli received funding from the NWO Open Science Funds for the project: "Promoting Open Science Teaching: A Positive, Inclusive and Participatory Program for Educators (POST-Edu)". Micheli: 'This project started from the idea that more often we are interested in (or required to) teach Open Science, yet as educators, we receive little training for that. Our goal is to develop this program in close consultation with educators.'

Two online launch events

To kickstart the project, we are organising two online launch events, on:

  • June 18th from 13:30 to 15:00
  • June 25th from 10:00 to 11:30

In case you are interested

Leticia Micheli: 'I would like to invite you to register for one of the two launch events.'

PostEDU Launch Events Registration

Everyone is welcome to attend, regardless of their level of experience with Open Science teaching and mentoring. 'We are especially keen to hear from:

  • educators who want to teach Open Science in the future;
  • educators who currently teach Open Science, and;
  • individuals with expertise or interest on Open Science and on developing teaching resources.'

How to incorporate Open Science into teaching and mentoring

'In this project, we aim to develop a pedagogically-informed, evidence-based, and self-guided program for supporting the teaching of Open Science. We aim to produce three modules for educators interested in teaching Open Science through a positive, participatory, and inclusive lens.'

'We aim to talk to educators to provide an overview of the project goals; identify the challenges and opportunities educators face when incorporating Open Science into teaching and mentoring; and to get their input and opinion on how best to develop this program.'
