On the Potential of Multi-Objective Automated Algorithm Configuration on Multi-Modal Multi-Objective Optimisation Problems
Prof. Trautmann, a renowned expert in the field, will explore the complexities of Multi-Objective (MO) continuous optimization problems, focusing on the conflict between solver convergence and solution set diversity, specifically for multi-modal settings. Her research, which we are privileged to have her share with us, shows that MO-AAC outperforms default and single-objective configurations using multi-objective automated algorithm configuration (MO-AAC) and evolutionary multi-objective algorithms (EMOA).
This series is organized by a team from four universities, initiated by prof. dr. Thomas Bäck (Leiden University), prof. dr. Peter A.N. Bosman (CWI), prof. dr. Gusz Eiben (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam), and dr. ir. Dirk Thierens (Utrecht University).
