In this talk, I will present the general structure and some initial results from the DIAMAS project, an EC sponsored project that aims at aligning diamond open access journals in the ERA. I will present the turn towards diamond OA in the context of the need for a broader reform in research culture, where other contributions to the research process, including open peer reviews, are valued as much as original research articles.
