In his lecture Mikhail Fishman will look at how tyranny is connected to war and, more in particular, how Vladimir Putin’s political defeats in Ukraine over the last 20 years have led him to invade that country.
Mikhail Fishman is a well-known Russian journalist and TV presenter. He was editor-in-chief of The Moscow Times from 2015 to 2017. Since 2012 he has worked for the independent TV station TV Rain anchoring the weekly news show And So On (I tak dalee). Recently he published The Successor (Preemnik), a political biography of opposition leader Boris Nemtsov who was brutally killed in 2015.
A livestream of the lecture will be available as well. Watch the livestream here.
