Summary
Dit proefschrift beschrijft in vitro studies waarin de compositie van allo-HLA-DP-specifieke T-cel repertoires en de magnitude en diversiteit van allo-HLA-DP-specifieke immuunresponsen worden bestudeerd. De vindingen in dit proefschrift geven inzicht in hoe de balans tussen GvL en GvHD, na alloSCT en DLI in de HLA-DP-gemismatchte setting wordt bepaald. De verschillende hoofstukken laten zien dat de klinische uitkomsten (GvL en/of GvHD) ten gevolge van allo-HLA-DP-specifieke reactiviteit worden beïnvloed door meerdere factoren, namelijk het specifieke HLA-DP verschil tussen donor en patiënt, de omvang en diversiteit van allo-HLA-DP-specifieke immuunresponsen en het samenspel tussen de samenstelling van het allo-HLA-DP-reactieve donor T-cel repertoire en de aanwezigheid van professionele APC en inflammatoire condities in de patiënt.
