A radically new performance about disappearing. And appearing.
With 30 appearances out of darkness, Arno Schuitemaker creates an experience from which a new dimension opens from the darkness. That which is dark can be terrifying, literally but also figuratively.
Impressive images are created in the pitch darkness, sometimes on the edge of perception. Enchanting, mysterious, hypnotic. Assumptions we make are challenged. A group of performers moves across the stage. Not everyone is visible at the same time, but their presence is always felt. They appear and disappear, never in the same way – found, lost and looking again.
ACPA researcher and composer Aart Strootman composed the music for this performance.
